+ My wedding is in two months. Is that enough time?

Because we like to give our clients individual time and attention, we ask that you book with us at least three months before you need your custom magazine. If your timeline is shorter than our three-month booking policy, we may still be able to work with you, depending on our client load. If we are able to accommodate you, a rushed order fee will apply.

+ I just want one magazine. Is that an option?

Technically, yes… but because we charge a set design fee in addition to our printing costs, the price would look remarkably similar to the cost of printing 25.

+ Can I get a sample?

Yes, because we know once you get one of our magazines in your hands you’re going to fall in love. You can order a sample here.

+ Can you create a magazine for something other than a wedding?

Yes, yes, absolutely yes. We love finding new ways to use our custom magazines. We’ve worked with several wedding vendors to design business look-books to really wow their clients; we also create custom holiday magazines for families to share with loved ones. We once created a gorgeous magazine to celebrate 30 years of life! If you have your own idea for a custom mag, feel free to contact us.

+ I’m located outside the US. Can I still order magazines?

While we cannot ship to every country across the globe, please inquire about your specific location. Orders outside the U.S. are subject to additional fees to offset increased shipping costs.


+ Who writes the text?

You do! After all, you know your story better than anyone else. We’ll send you prompts to guide your writing, based on the sections you indicate you’d like to include in your intake survey.

+ How long will it take to make my magazine?

Your magazine timeline depends largely on you – the sooner you book and send us your content, the sooner you’ll have your magazine. Responding promptly to our designer’s questions will also speed up the process. Once all the text and images are in, the design phase can take up to 4 weeks. Printing and shipping can take up to two weeks.

+ What image specifications do you require?

Images should be at least 300 dpi. Please do not submit cell phone pictures unless you have a specific purpose for them (ex: old first-date photos, bridal party pictures, etc.). Images are a central part in the look and feel of your magazine — you don’t want to skimp on the photo quality.

Another thing to consider is size: If you have a high-quality image but it’s only 300×300 pixels, it won’t work as your cover photo. You can talk more in-depth about image requirements with us during the design process.

+ Can I order fewer magazines than what’s listed on your price page?

Because of printing and shipping costs, the more magazines you order, the lower your cost-per-item. If you want to order fewer than 25, you may, but you won’t be saving any money.

+ What is your refund policy?

The $150 retainer is non-refundable. If you need to cancel your order during the design process, you will not have to pay the remaining cost.

+ What payment methods do you accept?

We send our invoices through PayPal. We also accept checks made out to Unlike Juliet, but we won’t work on your project until the check has cleared.

+ How long does printing take?

The printing company we use has great turnaround time. I usually receive the magazines within 10 days of submitting the design. I will look them over for a final check, then ship them to you within 48 hours. In other words, you should have the magazines approximately two weeks after you’ve approved the final design. If timing is a major concern, we offer expedited shipping options. Please ask us about these before beginning your project.
